The Murderer's Mother: a murderer tries to view life from his mother’s perspective

John J Lennon is serving a sentence of twenty-eight years to life, currently at Attica Correctional Facility. His work has appeared in The Atlantic, the New York Times and PEN America and he place second in the PEN America Prison Writing Contest. In this very personal article in The Hedgehog Review, he tries to view things from his mother’s perspective and how it may be for her to be a murderer’s mother.
